Course Description

Power for Telecommunications training is to give individuals who are required to carry out the maintenance and fault diagnoses and rectification to fix faults within NRT power supplies the knowledge and practical skills to safely carry out the role. This course has a pre-learning module, which is an e-learning, where a delegate should be able to demonstrate knowledge of basic power principles by completing and passing a knowledge test with reference to notes. The main learning is classroom based with the following objectives:  •List common faults found in inverters, Uninterruptable Power Supply(UPS), rectifiers and batteries from a group discussion  •Explain the maintenance and fault fixing process with reference to notes •Demonstrate core testing and fault-finding activities on selected equipment with reference to manuals, guides and notes.

Route Engineers / Technicians and Network Rail Telecomms (NRT) Maintenance Teams who are performing fault fixing tasks associated with Telecommunication Power Supplies.
