<p>This face-to-face training course is designed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of vegetation specification in line with the standard NR/L2/OTK/5201 Lineside Vegetation Management Manual. Throughout the course, participants will learn about the factors that lead to successful vegetation specification, and the five main habitat types found on Network Rail property. Participants will also explore the different intervention types, how to use baseline studies to inform vegetation specification, and the biodiversity factors that need to be considered. By the end of the course, participants will have a detailed understanding of the knowledge and skills required to create effective vegetation specifications that are in line with Network Rail standards. Recommended pre-learning for this course: Drainage &amp; Lineside - Vegetation Inspection &amp; Maintenance (L1). It is also recommended to familiarise yourself with the following tools before attending this training course: MyWork App, Ellipse and StrEAMS. These systems will be referenced extensively throughout the course and may form part of the final practical assessment.</p>
