Audience

Anyone required to work at height on Network Rail Off Track operations, specifically on trackside embankments and cuttings, where the use of personal fall protection equipment for access is required. As manufacturers rate their harness’ to a specific weight, if when wearing full PPE and carrying any tools takes you beyond 22st/140kg, you are therefore not eligible to attend this course.

This eLearning forms part of the Geotechnics Training Programme and will explore the effects of vegetation on earthworks. There are two Network Rail Standards that relate to vegetation and will be covered during this module which are NR/L2/CIV/086 Module 13: Management of Vegetation on Earthworks, and NR/L2/OTK/5201: Lineside Vegetation Management Manual. This training will be of use to you should you refer to either of these standards as part of your job role.
