Course Description
<p>This course is for STME/ASTMEs and individuals identified for progression into those roles. It is designed to develop both technical and management skills and is therefore particularly suited to persons required to prove their capability in these areas. The focus of the course is to ensure that delegates understand their responsibilities for managing signal engineering activities in accordance with the relevant Network Rail standards. Using a blend of scenario based exercises and group discussion, the course content enables delegates to:</p>
<p>• Identify relevant standards to prioritise defects</p>
<p>• Describe the true intent of each relevant standard</p>
<p>• Describe the process for managing defects found during preventative and corrective maintenance</p>
<p>• Describe responsibilities when managing and prioritising defects</p>
<p>• Identify the mitigating actions to be taken in circumstances when standards cannot be met within the specified time-frame for completion.</p>
<p>The course requires one elearning course to be completed prior to attending.</p>
