Advanced gauging methodology

Course Description

Staff nominated to hold this competency will predominately come from the National Gauging team in STE, and Senior Route Gauging engineers in the RAM (T) teams. These staff are the primary engineers engaged in the assessing of vehicle profiles, infrastructure designs and gauging methodologies against railway group standards and NWR Route Requirements and Strategies. Mandated roles: PGE (T and L}, SGE (T and L) Optional roles: SGE, EG (T and L)

Audience

All delegates must achieve 80% of the pre- course knowledge check and delegates will have two opportunities to pass. Failure on the second attempt will mean, they cannot attend the module and require more action learning for a time period no shorter than 3 months. A development plan should be utilised, to seek to develop their knowledge and skills in relation to advanced gauging methodology.
