Course Description
The purpose of this training course is to develop a person’s knowledge, understanding and skills as defined in parts of Network Rail competence standards listed below and is therefore particularly suited to persons required to prove their competence in these areas:
- Dist 1: Undertake preventative & corrective maintenance of Power Distribution systems.
- Dist 5: Inspect the Power Distribution Infrastructure. Delegates will undertake theory and practical based assessments to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the processes associated with maintenance & inspection of Power Distribution equipment.
- Mentorship: Following successful completion of the training each delegate shall undertake a period of mentored workplace experience to enable the learning to be consolidated through practical workplace experience.

This course is designed to train persons who are new to Power Distribution engineering and whose work may involve the maintenance, installation or testing of the Power Distribution engineering equipment or other duties that may affect the operation of Power Distribution equipment.
