A practical course for people who are required to chair signal sighting committees Duration – 3 days Pre-requisties Personal Track Safety certification (PTS).
Competence in the individual discipline to be represented on the SSC.
Competence in Signal Sighting Committee Member and:
Has 12 months experience.
Carried out signal sighting on 10 or more signals that may include:
New simple signal.
New complex signal.
PSR sign and/or other sign.
Stop board or semaphore signal.
Signal under OLE, 3rd/4th rail or electrification standards.
Gantry or cantilever signal where target signal is one of a group of parallel signals.

Delegates who are experienced in signal sighting and who have undergone formal training for a signal sighting committee member course (3-day) or committee member refresher course (1-day)
